Disclaimer
Informational Use Only
PlainAlcohol reformats the public TTB List of Permittees (April 2025) into a searchable directory. The information here is provided for general reference and convenience only. It is not legal, regulatory, or business advice, and nothing on this site should be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or for the official government record.
Verify Before You Rely on It
Permit status changes — permits are issued, surrendered, revoked, or modified between TTB releases. A permit shown here may no longer be current. Before making any legal, financial, or commercial decision, confirm the authoritative status with the official TTB Public Permit Search. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data, which mirrors a point-in-time public file.
Scope
PlainAlcohol covers four federal permit types — wineries, distilleries, importers, and wholesalers. It does not cover breweries (which hold a separate Brewer's Notice not published in the List of Permittees) or state and local alcohol licenses. Holding a federal permit indicates a business met TTB requirements; it is not an endorsement and says nothing about product quality.
No Affiliation
PlainAlcohol is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the TTB, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, or any government agency, alcohol producer, distributor, or trade association. References to TTB are for source attribution only.
